Mental Health Awareness Week, organised by the Mental Health Foundation, is an annual event that focuses on raising awareness of mental health struggles and promoting positive mental health – this year it takes place 11-17 May 2026. It provides an opportunity to reflect on mental health, spark conversations, reducing stigma, and support those experiencing mental health challenges.
Mental health is important to everyone – our lives are full of daily challenges, and good mental health is not a constant. As around one in five adults in the UK have a common mental health condition such as anxiety and depression, it is time to take action. It’s an opportunity for individuals, communities, and organisations to come together, share stories, and advocate for better mental health support.
