Adrian Martinez is a counsellor working with individuals and groups in an integrative way.

I have been trained in an integrative way that draws upon Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and other approaches to thinking about and practising therapy. I am interested in being with my clients in the ways that have worked with me as a client; in the most open, warm and authentic way so that we can work together to find out what my clients need. I particularly enjoy working with groups, whether these are group therapy, group supervision or learning groups.

I’m interested in working with young people as well as adults and especially with men for whom therapy can seem like an alien or challenging thing to ask for. Whatever my clients identify as I trust that together we can find the best way to work in letting go of difficult or repetitive and painful relationships and make more meaningful connections to ourselves and others.

I currently practise here at Wellspring whilst also teaching on the professional training programmes and on the MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy (CPASS) at the University of Edinburgh.
