Rock Trust

AGE: 14-25

For YP facing or at risk of homelessness (including those with tension/ difficult relationships at home).  1:1 work is being continued via online/ telephone. Still taking referrals for art wellbeing support online but assessments will be made via online/ telephone. Young people can still speak to workers for advice and to arrange access to emergency support including food and toiletry parcels. They can also contact a worker for advice on their job situation, support around applying for statutory sick pay/ universal credit and any other financial worry. 6VT

AGE: 16-26

6VT have set a virtual drop-in on Mondays at 7.00 pm. All young people welcome. 6VT Youth Workers will be running the virtual drop-ins as normal.

The Junction, young people, health & wellbeing

Drop-in service has moved online.... Digital Drop-in – open to all yp in Edinburgh aged 12-21 for wellbeing support. Emotional, listening, advice, signposting and self-care support is offered via 30 minute engagements. LGBT Health and Wellbeing

Open every Tues and Weds (12-9pm).  Extended phone hours temporarily on Thurs (12-6pm), but no online chat at this time. Citizens Advice Edinburgh

 

 

Provide free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on things such as foodbank vouchers, money advice, benefits, housing, family problems, health services and legal rights. They are reviewing current government Covid-19 support to give up-to-date advice on what you might be entitled to.  Telephone helpline open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.  Call 0131 510 5510. 

Chalmers Centre (NHS Lothian Sexual Health)

For an appointment, go to https://www.lothiansexualhealth.scot/ and click on BOOK APPOINTMENT.  They will continue to provide care for urgent problems including medical abortion, pain or distressing symptoms and STIs.  All local clinics apart from Howden are closed.

To self-refer to the ABORTION SERVICE phone 0131 536 2454 between 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. This service has no answer phone, please call back if it rings out as staff will be on another call. Regular HIV appointments will be by telephone. They will try to provide contraception if this is not available from GP or pharmacy – Go to BOOK APPOINTMENT. Mermaids

Mermaids provides a helpline aimed at supporting transgender youth up to and including the age of 19, their families and professionals working with them. The Mermaids Helpline is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 9pm (times may vary on Bank Holidays). Call 0800 801 0400, it’s confidential.
