TRAINEES AT WELLSPRING

Training Organisations: University of Edinburgh,
Persona/University of Stirling

Counsellors in Training at Wellspring are studying for Msc/Pg Diploma in Counselling. As part of their course requirements they must complete between 140 - 200 therapy sessions. They receive supervision from Wellspring supervisors following BACP code of ethics.

Clients for the trainees are selected from the waiting list in consultation with both the trainees and client. Any person chosen from the list will first be asked if they are comfortable working with a trainee and will have the choice to accept or not.

Four new trainees are here on placement. Two trainees are from Persona, Stirling University - Ruth Coates and Greta McMillan. And two trainees are from the University of Edinburgh course - Sylvia Hillman and Val Caird.

We have no other vacancies for trainees at present.
