THERAPISTS
Wellspring therapists are
fully trained, and have undergone a sustained experience of their own
personal therapy. As well as this, all are committed to ongoing personal
and professional development, and are either accredited, and/or are
eligible to apply for accreditation.
Our therapists are accredited
and/or registered with either the British Association for Counselling
and Psychotherapy (BACP),
COSCA,
the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the United Kingdom Association for Humanistic Psychology
Practitioners (UKAHPP),
the National Council of Hypnotherapists (NCH),
the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT),
and the United Kingdom Register for Counsellors (UKRC).
Many of our therapists are
also teachers/trainers/educators in the profession, and offer supervision
and consultative support to other therapists.
Wellspring's thirteen therapists
represent a variety of orientations, including psychodynamic, person-centred,
core process, art therapy, Jungian orientated psychotherapy, and hypnotherapy.
All are experienced in offering longer term therapy as well as time-sensitive,
brief, solution-focused counselling and psychotherapy. Some have particular
experience of working with young people and others also undertake couple
and family work.
